How were the images created?

All images were created using OpenAI’s DALL.E 2, an AI system that creates realistic images and art from a simple description.
In this case, we used the prompt ‘a painting of a red rose in the style of…’, completed with each individual artist’s name to produce four images for all eleven artists. What a clever little AI!
