What You'll Need

These can be found in your local craft store or pop in to your local florist to pick them up.

✔ Floral foam wreath
✔ Seasonal foliage (eucalyptus, pine cones, hypericum berries...)
✔ Decorative accessories (ribbon, baubles…)
✔ A selection of fresh flowers
✔ Florist wire
✔ A pair of sharp scissors

Step One

Before we get to the fun part, you need to prepare your wreath frame by soaking it in the sink or a bucket of water.

To do this, slowly let your floral foam wreath frame soak up the water, never force the frame under the water as that could trap air in the frame.

Step Two

Using florist wire and the ribbon you have chosen, create a hoop to hang your wreath with when it’s finished. This will also act as a handy guide for where the top of your wreath is as a start and finish for the decoration.

Cut the greenery and foliage into a pile and start placing this into the foam. This will help to create a strong (and more importantly...) festive base for your door wreath.

Step Three

Start adding depth to your Christmas door wreath by placing the pine cones and hypericum berries in and amongst the foliage. Add in decorative accessories including any baubles and ribbon.

You could also choose a few stems from your favourite Christmas bouquet and simply trim the flowers to add even more sparkle to your door wreath.

Step Four

Hang proudly on your front door to welcome visitors in throughout the festive period!

To keep your wreath looking fresh, mist it with water and make sure to bring it indoors or store it in your shed/ garage if it’s looking like a particularly frosty evening.
