Stuck for Birthday Gifts? How About Some Flowers?

It’s not always easy to choose a birthday gift for someone. So sending flowers may not be the most obvious choice that comes to mind; particularly in this age of too much choice.

But birthday flowers can be the ideal present to send someone even if the recipient does not normally buy flowers or, indeed, display any around their property. There are many reasons to send birthday flowers through online florists (such as ours).

For instance, there is nothing more exhilarating than receiving an unexpected gift in the post. Especially on your birthday! They may only be flowers but a Bright Bouquet or an Amethyst from our selection may be just the treat to kick start their special day.

Price could be another reason as well. Buying flowers through specialist online florists may sound expensive but bouquets start from under £30; which is not an overreaching price mark for a birthday gift.

And if it’s choice that’s a problem then our site can help there too. Eflorist.co.uk offers a range of flowers to choose from under different occasions, yes including Birthday Flowers. These can be arranged in price order from lowest to highest, and vice versa.

And just like other online florists we can deliver to just about anywhere in Britain and Ireland. We even pride ourselves on being able to deliver to more than 140 countries worldwide.

So if someone’s special day is coming up and you want to send them birthday flowers – eflorists.co.uk is the ideal choice for online florists.

A Gift that Never Goes Out of Fashion

Gift giving is a tradition in many cultures across the world. This is no great surprise. Everyone loves to receive special offerings and the handing over of items like this helps to cement social ties. However, many of the products given these days have a tendency to go out of fashion quickly.

For example, because of the fast pace of development, many items of technology are virtually redundant not long after they have been purchased. Also, particular types of clothing generally have a short life-span. What is in this season may be out the next.

But there are certain offerings that seem to retain an endless appeal and flowers are among them. While trends in floral design may change over the years, the actual act of giving flowers remains highly popular.

After all, there are few things more beautiful and special than these testaments to the variety and diversity of nature. In their many colours, shapes and sizes, flowers seem to encapsulate the essence of life.

This is what makes them perfect in so many different situations. They are often seen at weddings, religious ceremonies, birthdays, Christmas, Easter, anniversaries and many more occasions.

And of course people do not have to wait for such events to hand over flowers. They can do so spontaneously at any time.

Here at eFlorist we offer a delivery service. Provisions like this mean that buying floral creations has never been easier.

With EFlorist, we offer you the opportunity to buy online with the knowledge that we work with the best local florists for you, so that whether you want a Glasgow flower delivery, or a flower delivery in Leeds, all you need to do is order with us. Choosing Birthday Flowers For A Man

While flowers are not a typical birthday gift choice for men, many men do in fact like receiving flowers. Here are some tips for choosing birthday flowers for a special man in your life.

Choosing flowers for a man doesn’t have to be difficult. Simply think about who he is, and what he likes. His favourite colours can play in, as can his sense of style and personality.

Sometimes more practical men, while they may appreciate flowers, might prefer traditional flowers, like roses and lilies over more exotic blooms, or modern arrangements. Our yellow rose and carnation arrangement, under Birthday Flowers, might make the perfect gift in this case.

Our Firecracker arrangement, under Romantic Flowers, is another fairly classic bouquet that is both beautiful and traditional.

For men who don’t mind a little bit of fuss, you may want to choose something more exotic and unusual. Our bright Rich Embers arrangement, under Romantic Flowers, is comprised of orange lilies, roses, and Germini.

Another arrangement with a touch of the exotic is our Kaleidoscope Bouquet, also under Romantic Flowers, which includes hot pink Gerbera, green Anthurium star, Purple Liatris, and orange roses, accented with other exotic greens.

Under Spring Flowers, you will also find our Elegant Beauty, a potted Phalaenopsis Orchid, perfect for any man with an artistic eye.

Many more choices await in birthday flowers, valentine’s day flowers, and other categories.

Have your flowers delivered to your man at work, or to his front door on his big day.

Same Day Flowers Across the UK

The great thing about not having to rely on postal services is that we can have Leeds florists knock on someone’s door with a fresh bunch of beautiful blooms the very same day you place an order from the Isle of Wight or even from Johannesburg. The roses, tulips, lilies, and daisies needed to make up any arrangement on this site will already be there, just waiting to be turned into a bouquet and delivered. There is no waiting period while your floral gift is sent across the country and of course, no chance of it getting damaged on the way.

While we don’t claim to have a partner business in every single town (in these days of supermarket bouquets some unlucky towns don’t even have their own specialist flower shop), our local network is far reaching. There are Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Sunderland, Salford, and Swansea florists working with us, and that’s just a few of the ‘S’ ones. Almost anywhere your friends and loved ones are, we can send same day flowers.

Quick deliveries are wonderful for forgetful people. If you’ve just logged into Facebook and seen a friend’s birthday notification pop up, it’s not too late to show you care even if they live in a distant city. We can probably get a gift to their door very quickly indeed. With a same day flower delivery they’ll never need to know that you almost forgot their big day.

They’re also perfect for cheering people up. If someone you know is having a tough morning, why not brighten their afternoon with a beautiful bunch of roses or daisies?

Surprise Someone Special With Flowers

The best gifts are the ones we least expect–a surprise “thinking of you” card in the post, an unexpected box of chocolates left on our desks at work, or a brilliant bouquet of flowers delivered to our door on an average Monday morning. These are the things that brighten life, and let us know that people truly care. Why not surprise someone special to you with a flower delivery when they least expect it?

When most people think of ordering flowers, they tend to think of birthday flowers and Valentine’s Day flowers. But you can give a bouquet or arrangement any day of the year, and it couldn’t be easier with EFlorist.

Why not give a gift of flowers to someone who is going through depression? Do you know someone who has experienced something very sad in their lives, such as the loss of a pet or even a miscarriage? Sometimes no words can express your sympathy and love as well as flowers can.

Flowers are also a good way to say, “you’re my best friend” or “you mean the world to me.” Why not order some pink and white carnations or bright red and orange asters for a friend who is far away?

Ordering online means you can send flowers to someone anywhere in the country. We work with local florists all around the UK, and even in other countries. And fresh flowers will be delivered to your friend or loved one by a professional florist the same day of purchase if you place your order before 3:00 p.m.

Congratulations and Celebrations!

We love flowers! Here are our top five reasons to congratulate, celebrate and send flowers!

Happy Anniversary!
Every anniversary is a milestone worth celebrating. Whether it’s one, twelve or fifty-three years together, don’t forget to be extra wonderful to each other for the day! Forgotten your anniversary? Get your flower delivery order in to us by 3pm and we guarantee to have your flowers delivered same day.

It’s Your Birthday!
Some people love birthdays, some people hate ‘um! But we’re pretty sure everybody loves the thoughtful gift of a flower delivery. If you’re stuck for ideas (“The pen that’s also a clock…or a new ladle?”) when it’s time to celebrate your nearest and dearest, take a petal out of our book and go for flowers!

On a Career High!
Getting ahead in the world is something to celebrate! Whether your youngest just made partner in the firm, a good mate finally landed a job that doesn’t require wearing a name badge, or maybe your partner got a well-deserved promotion, say “Well Done!” with some sassy stems!

Romance is in the Air…

Can anybody else hear violins? An engagement, moving in together, marriage, an anniversary, learning how to use a coaster or going for three days without asking for computer help – revel in your partner’s quirks and celebrate them with flowers!

Your New Baby is Gorgeous!

Having a baby is an emotional lifelong safari (never mind a roller coaster!), and knowing the people you love are along for the ride – supporting, listening, cleaning up vomit – is priceless!

Flowers and Motherly Love

3rd April 2011 – The day for celebrating our fantastic mothers in the UK. We can literally think of no better day to bombard our mothers with flowers.

A thoughtful flower delivery on Mother’s Day is one of the best ways to make up for not calling as often as we should, never cleaning our rooms when asked, moaning as she insists we’re not going out dressed like that, missing about 50% of our lunch dates with her because meetings at the office overrun, forgetting her birthday and turning up at the last minute with some ill-advised petrol station “gifts” (“Well Mum, I know how much you love charcoal and de-icer…”), putting empty milk cartons back in the fridge, tearing our hair out when she adamantly informs us that dinner at 3.30pm “beats the crowds” (even though it means being hungry again at 8pm!)… mums put up with a lot.

But we really do love our mothers 100%, 24/7 – and although we sometimes feel like it might actually kill us to admit she’s right, that’s one thing she needn’t worry about. We love that she collects our dirty dishes, always gives us a Christmas stocking, can’t quite get prefixes right and says “the Youtube”, walks our dog because we have a headache (she knows it’s a hangover!) and answers her phone any time – day or night.

Mother’s day flowers are definitely worth the few minutes it’ll take you to browse our online selection and fill out the online form.

No matter where you are, our friendly delivery drivers will be at Mum’s door on 3rd April!

Treat Yourself with Flower Delivery

Not every flower delivery is for an anniversary or for Valentine’s day. Our favourite deliveries are those that are booked for no reason other than expressing love or gratitude, or the simple enjoyment of a beautifully scented bunch of colourful blooms. A flower can brighten up any room and bring anyone who sees it a little bit of extra joy.

There is absolutely no reason not to engage an online flower delivery service on your own behalf. Not only do you get the fun of searching through the latest range and selecting your very favourite arrangement in the colour you like the most, you also get to be the one to open the door to a beautiful bunch of select blooms, artfully presented and as fresh as possible. When you send flowers to other people you do so for the satisfaction of imagining their reaction or the phone call afterwards, but you never get to see the bouquet.

A flower delivery can really brighten up your home. Some will also gently fragrance a whole room so there is more than one reason to decorate your house or flat with flower bouquets. They bring the very best of the garden into any home, even if ones that don’t have so much as a potted plant or a window box.

Why not send some flowers to yourself next time you order something special for a friend or a loved one? While looking through our pages you might as well treat yourself too.

So Many Beautiful Tulips

Tulips are amongst the brightest of all flower types. They have large but elegant and shapely blooms and come in perhaps the greatest variety of forms of any flowering plants. There are more than 100 different species in the tulip genus and countless varieties from dwarf to giant, super-slim to broad, fat cups. Some have feathered petals and the number of shades available is truly staggering.

These days there are even pure velvet black tulips and split-colour varieties are also quite common. There are mixed reds and whites, yellows and oranges, and plenty of other combinations. The slashes and splatters of colour mark out tulips as some of the most attractive and popular choices those who’d like to get flowers delivered.

The huge range of tulips is the result of careful cross breeding. For hundreds of years dedicated tulip growers have carefully worked to create new and vibrant varieties. Although the first plants were introduced to Western Europe through the Ottoman Empire in the 16th Century, the Netherlands quickly established itself as the great tulip centre. Today it exports more than a billion bulbs all across the world- that amounts to a lot of flowers delivered. It seems that everyone loves tulips.

Tulips are as ideal Mother’s Day flowers or for almost any other occasion. We have a special section just for them, and in it you’ll find plenty to delight and intrigue tulip lovers. If you’d like to send flowers online it’s always worth considering them as an option. Pick the recipient’s favourite colour and your gift is sure to be doubly appreciated.
